7 members and a junior fished the Goulburn river for the day with only a little success. The weather conditions were near perfect but the fish were not particularly cooperative. The river was low and very clear at Thornton but a little discoloured near Alexandra.

Only 3 brown trout and 2 rainbow trout were brought to scale for a cleaned weight of 1.715kgs. The best fish was a brown that weighed 0.675kgs cleaned. This fish taken by Les Penrose was sufficient to win the competition from Ken Ely with 2 browns for 0.525kgs. A variety of baits were successful with mussel the best.

A enjoyable outing that promised a lot but returned little.
