Perfect weather and a good water level were great conditions for the nine members that participated in the Annual Native Fish Catch and Release Competition at Yarrawonga. Fishing was slow on Saturday but improved markedly on Sunday. Seven fish were registered on the Saturday but twenty three were taken on Sunday morning with many more lost on snags.

The best fish was a 60cm Murray Cod taken by Daniel Jennings with good quality Yellowbelly adding to the registration sheet. Our best team, Doug Hughes, Peter Patterson and Rob Miles registered 23 yellow belly for the weekend.

Knox City Angling Club won the Competition with an excellent catch of quality Cod and Yellowbelly.

The Preston Northcote Club competition was won by Peter Patterson with Rob Miles and Daniel Jennings filling the placings.
