Two rivers were fished on the weekend. Four members fished the Broken River near Benalla and one the Yarra at Templestowe.

Murray Cod 80cm

Unfotunately only five fish were taken however one of those was a 80cm Murray Cod from the Broken caught by Peter Patterson. The river condition was poor with the water very low, warm and dirty. Murray Cod was also the targeted species in the Yarra with no success.

In all only five fish were brought to scale including 2 Murray Cod and 3 Goldern Perch. A number of smaller cod were returned to the water.

Peter Patterson won the competition with 5.180kgs followed by Ken Ely with 2.715kgs
