Gale force winds did not upset what was otherwise reasonable fishing conditions. Five members entered the competition with the four anglers being successful at the Goulburn River in the Alexandra area. The day was marred by one of our drivers hitting a fallen tree on the Kinglake - Yea Road. Fortunately the impact was not overly serious with only panel damage to the vehicle
The angling was pretty good in a low river with a slight tinge of colour. Thirteen trout were taken of which twelve were rainbow for a total cleaned weight of 4.795kgs. Peter Patterson had the best bag of five trout for a cleaned weight of 2.145kgs. Ken Ely was next best with three trout for 1.030. Unfortunately Peter lost a big brown that he estimated was in excess of 3kgs. Best baits were maggots and worms.
