Thirteen anglers fished the Howqua area with three members trolling in the lake and ten fishing the Delatite and Howqua Rivers. The fish in the rivers were very finicky and hard to hook with the Delatite having the better fishing. The lake proved superior with some excellent yellowbelly taken trolling with bibbed lures.

Ken Minnitt won the competition with four beautiful yellowbelly for a total of 6.660kgs cleaned weight. His best fish was a very nice 2.790kgs. The best trout was taken by Andrew Brandi with a brown of 1.195kgs cleaned. Andrew Brandi finished second followed by Daniel Jennings in third place. A total of 24 fish were brought to scale which included 14 brown trout, 6 rainbow trout and 4 yellowbelly for a total cleaned weight of 13.900kgs.
