The club had arranged for a combined Go Anywhere competition for the saltwater and freshwater in the Yarra River. Unfortunately the salties did not take to the water because of rough conditions however a number of members fished the Yarra. Tony Valier D'Abate proved to be the Yarra expert grassing 2 Macquarie perch for a total weight of 0.900kgs cleaned. He also caught and released a 44cm Murray cod. The native fish appear to be thriving in the Yarra. There are also plenty of large carp unfortunately.
An enjoyable day for Tony.
