The saltwater brave and fearless ventured to Eden for a week of blue water fishing. The weather was fine for the week but seas were rough with a big swell running albeit it did not stop the fishing. on one outing all the members were seasick at some stage.

The fishing was good although the kingfish were not as prominent as they were the previous year. A fine variety of fish were brought to scale including Kingfish, Mako shark, flathead, Tailor, Salmon, Sargent Baker, Leather Jacket, Pinky snapper and Pike. The best fish were a kingfish of 12.10kgs and a Mako shark of 6.12kgs.

A total of 166 fish were weighed for 139.72kgs. Steve Conda won the competition with 27.50kgs with Ron Debono and Mike Molinaro filling the placings with 21.48kgs and 19.24kgs respectively.

A great trip was enjoyed by all.
