Seven members fished the Goulburn and Yarra Rivers and Sugarloaf Reservoir in fine sunny conditions. Sugarloaf Reservoir proved best with Tony Dorner landing 3 very nice redfin on small yabby and worms. The total cleaned weight was 1.890kgs with the best fish weighing 0.820kgs cleaned. The Goulburn at Thornton produced 3 fish with Peter Patterson grassing 2 rainbows for 0.525kgs and Ken Ely a nice brown for 0.485kgs on a wonder wobbler. (Remember them in the 1950’s and 60’s) The rainbow were caught on worm and bardie grub. The Yarra at Templestowe was targeted for Macquarie Perch but only carp and eel were caught.
