Ten members visited the Dartmouth area for the long weekend with mixed results in fine weather conditions. A total of 27 trout were brought to scale that were mostly browns with only 2 rainbows for a total of 15.89kgs.
Wayne Harris was clearly the superior angler with his bag on both days. He weighed 10 browns for a total weight of 6.89kgs followed by Tony Dorner with 6 browns for 2.965kgs. The best fish was a brown taken by Wayne of just over a kilo.
Trolling was the key to success with tassie devils and worms behind attractors.
The annual Dart cup competition had 782 trout weighed. The best brown trout was 1.465kg, the best rainbow 1.015kgs and the best carp a whopping 5.27kgs.
